The wide receivers for the Arizona Cardinals continue to get all of the attention on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football.
Peter Schrager likened rookie wide receiver Rondale Moore to Wes Welker last week.
Nate Burleson said today that Arizona’s new wideout A.J. Green would be the comeback player of the year in 2021.
“I feel that ‘A.J. Green Zone’ will ball out,” Burleson added. What exactly is the Green Zone? 40 years old and counting. I’m referring to the fact that when they start sniffing the red zone, they’ll be searching for Green. Because you have Christian Kirk in the slot, DeAndre Hopkins, and Kyler Murray’s legs, defenders will forget about A.J. Green’s talent. He’s in the greatest condition of his life, according to the headlines, what he’s been doing at practice, and how he’s been preparing leading up to this season. A.J. Green is going to have a 1,000-yard season, in my opinion.”
Green finally saw action against the Kansas City Chiefs in the preseason on Friday. Kyler Murray was unable to connect with Green, and the first-team offense seemed to be in disarray.
Green was unconcerned in the least.
Green replied, “You know how preseason goes.” “We simply call it stuff,” says the narrator. We’re not saying anything is out of the ordinary. We’re just calling simple things, and they’re putting up a good fight. We’re not concerned; in fact, because of the way we compete, this has been one of our best practices.”
Green’s Training Camp is a great place to get in shape.
Green made an impression during training camp without a doubt. After missing workouts due to minor problems, ESPN’s Louis Riddick finally got to meet Green.
At today’s #Cardinals practice, what I saw from AJ Green seemed like the 2015 version. He had been. With DHop, AJ, Rondale Moore, and Christian Kirk, Arizona has the potential to have a top five wide receiver corps.

When it comes to the experienced player, DeAndre Hopkins had nothing but praise for him on August 2.
Hopkins said, “To be honest, I probably haven’t played with anybody of his quality.” “I’m sure you guys are going to take it and run with it….” I had the opportunity to play with Larry (Fitzgerald) later in his career, and he is clearly a Hall of Famer. Later in his career, Andre Johnson had the opportunity to play alongside him. The reason I say that is because A.J. still has a lot of gas in his tank. I’d say the other two Hall of Famers I got to play with were towards the conclusion of their careers. They taught me a lot, but I think A.J. is still at the top of his game.”
Green has had no trouble acclimating to the offense and believes it is comparable to others he has seen in the past.
“I’m ecstatic. It’s exactly what I was expecting. I’m content with how things are now. This is the kind of offense I’m accustomed to. I can walk outdoors and do the activities that I’m accustomed to.”
On offense, what is your role?
According to ESPN Cardinals writer Josh Weinfuss, AJ Green is Kingsbury’s number two target.
“Without a doubt, AJ Green is the number two target” – Josh claims that AJG has always looked great and has never been a true #2 in his life.
According to the Cards, DHop can go for 1500 yards and Green can still go close to 1,000. In Arizona, they have a lot of green.

Green’s ability to remain healthy for the whole season is a big question mark. He missed the whole year of 2019 due to foot and hamstring problems, and he is now 33 years old.
Green, on the other hand, is more than willing to adapt to his environment if he is in good condition. And it’s for this reason that he picked Arizona.
On July 29, Green said, “I’m always team-first.” “I always wanted another man while I was the guy in Cincinnati for ten years. We had Tyler Boyd, Marv (Marvin) Jones, and a bunch of other amazing people. My issue is that I don’t want to be forced to throw the ball, and I don’t have to throw the ball here. On one side, you’ve got Hop, on the other, you’ve got me, and in the center, you’ve got Kirk. It generates a lot of matches, which is why I chose this location.”
The emergence of youngster Rondale Moore, who just changed his number from 85 to 4, may also aid in the distribution of playing time.
Murray told Cardinals.com, “I anticipate A.J. to have a great year.” “I’m sure there are a lot of people sleeping on him. I know there’s been a lot of talk about him maybe not being able to do it anymore. I’m happy he’s on board.”
